Talk directly with the builder about selling your land or home on Long Island. Verdeland Homes considers properties for future single-family home projects.
Whether you know exactly what you want to do or are just exploring, we’d be happy to learn more.
These categories describe the property itself. Every potential purchase is reviewed individually, with attention to the site, the existing structures and what local requirements allow.
Cleared or undeveloped
Vacant land
A parcel without a home may be cleared, wooded or overgrown. It may have road access and utilities, or those details may still need to be explored. Share what you know about the location and approximate lot size. Whether it can support a new home depends on a review of the land and applicable approvals.
An existing house and its next chapter
Older homes
An older home may still be occupied, need updating or require substantial repairs. We consider the property as a whole, including the existing building and the land beneath it. Tell us about its condition and what you are considering; an older house does not automatically mean redevelopment is suitable.
A smaller home on an established parcel
Bungalows
Bungalows are generally compact homes with a low profile, often one or one-and-a-half stories. For a potential purchase, the lot, access and existing structure all matter. A bungalow may be a starting point for a conversation, but its style alone does not determine what can be built in its place.
More land to understand
Oversized lots
A larger parcel may have a home, additional open space or an unusual shape. Share the approximate dimensions and any survey information you already have, without uploading documents through the general form. Lot size alone does not establish buildability or the ability to divide the property; those questions require a property-specific review.
Start with the property as it stands
Vacant or neglected properties
A home that has been empty or difficult to maintain can raise practical questions about its condition and care. You can start by describing what is there and what you know. We can discuss whether it fits our purchase criteria without asking you to resolve every question before reaching out.
Possibility begins with a closer look.
Any redevelopment depends on the property review and applicable approvals. A conversation is not a commitment to purchase, a determination of buildability or a promise that a lot can be subdivided.
SELLING SITUATIONS
Your circumstances matter, too.
The reason for a sale is separate from the type of property. You can share a brief overview without sending private financial or legal records.
Inherited or estate property
Selling an inherited property can involve both practical challenges and personal loss. Our dedicated team works with real estate agents and attorneys experienced in estate administration and probate to help you understand the steps involved and avoid unnecessary delays. We approach each situation with patience, discretion and respect, with legal guidance provided by the attorneys involved.
Foreclosure-related inquiries
If your property is involved in foreclosure and you are considering a sale, you can ask whether it fits our purchase criteria. We cannot promise that a sale will stop or delay foreclosure. Speak with your own attorney or a HUD-approved housing counselor about your situation.
Short-sale inquiries
A short sale involves selling a home for less than the mortgage balance. It may require approval from the mortgage servicer and other lienholders. We can discuss a potential property purchase, but cannot promise lender approval, debt forgiveness or a closing date.
This page describes property-purchase inquiries, not legal, tax or mortgage advice. For independent information:
Use our contact form to tell us the town, property type, approximate size and general condition. A few sentences are enough to begin; an exact address can wait until we connect.
02
Review the property
We review the information and discuss any further details needed to understand the site and a possible purchase. The scope of review depends on the property.
03
Discuss next steps
If there is a potential fit, we can discuss a possible purchase and what would need to happen next. Any terms, conditions and timing would be addressed for that specific property.
A FEW DETAILS ARE ENOUGH
